Empowering patients to be able to take better care of themselves using goal setting and hands-on education is very rewarding. When patients return for follow-up and were able to apply what they learned or even discuss what they remember, I feel rewarded. The Union Health Center has a very special patient population. They care about their health and want to make changes to better themselves. It’s up to us to make sure we figure out the best way to individualize care so that they succeed.
